Summer School 2009 - 'RZSS 100'
In 2009 the Royal Zoological Society of Scotland is one hundred years old! As a result, summer school ’09 will be a celebration of everything ‘zoo’ – our animals, our conservation work and our local wildlife.
Children will take part in a variety of animal related activities, based upon a geographic theme. They will learn about one of the conservation projects supported by RZSS in the wild and the role of the zoo in keeping endangered animals. They will also reflect upon what they themselves can do to conserve Scottish wildlife. We hope that summer school 2009 will inspire future generations to appreciate wildlife and to do their bit for conservation!
The courses will be taking place during the weeks beginning the 6 July, 13 July, 20 July and 27 July 2009 and will run from Monday to Friday inclusive, 9am to 3.30pm.
On each week there will be 100 places available for children aged 6 - 14 year old.
The cost will be £125 per child (to be confirmed).
(price includes refreshments each day and lunch on Friday)
