RZSS Highland Wildlife Park has been busy with the pitter patter of tiny animal paws, hooves and feet this summer; from young bison to red panda kits and wolf pups, there have been lots of new arrivals. But even though the breeding season and the school holidays may be coming to an end, there is still plenty of time to visit ‘Scotland’s best day out’, as voted for by the public at the Scottish Hospitality Awards.

Visitors to the Park will be spoilt for choice with our latest arrivals, who are only just starting to venture out into the open spaces of their enclosures. From endangered red panda kit twins to a trio of lynx kittens, three playful snow monkeys and eight boisterous wolf pups, there is so much to see at RZSS Highland Wildlife Park this summer.

What’s more, with a new polar bear play park, daily keeper talks and animal feeds, our Land Rover tours around our reserve and our Wildlife Warrior trail, a visit to RZSS Highland Wildlife Park is the perfect way to keep children entertained in the run up to the new term.

Daska Mackintosh, Head of Operations and Visitor Services at the Park, said: “With 45 animal births from 11 species over the past few months it is a great time to visit the award-winning RZSS Highland Wildlife Park. From red pandas to Scottish wildcats, wolves to lynx, there is so much to keep the kids entertained in the last few weeks of the holidays.”

RZSS Highland Wildlife Park is based in the spectacular setting of the Cairngorms National Park it is home to over 200 rare and endangered animals, some of which you cannot see anywhere else in Scotland. The amazing, close-up animal encounters, together with talk programmes and animal feeds hosted by the Park’s expert keepers, give visitors the opportunity to engage with the world of animals in a more intimate way. From amazing Amur tigers to playful polar bears, the site cares for many threatened species and provides a visitor experience which truly inspires.
