The Royal Zoological Society of Scotland (RZSS) has teamed up with Clydesdale Bank to offer completely FREE wildlife sessions to children all over Scotland. The project delivers an outreach programme on Scotland's natural history via a bespoke double-decker bus. The bus has been fully converted to provide a unique and inspiring teaching space for school children, and provide fun, practical sessions that fully complement the National Curriculum for Excellence.
Now in its second year, the Wild about Scotland bus is on a mission to travel the length and breadth of the country, engaging children and communities with Scotland's amazing native wildlife. We hope to connect children to the nature on their own doorstep with a view to creating a lifelong appreciation and respect for wildlife and the environment.

We have made it to the end of the school year! In our last week of term we visited Shetland. This represented a huge milestone for the Wild about Scotland programme. We can now truly say we have travelled the length and breadth of the country, with Shetland our 32nd out of 32 local authority areas that we have now visited.
The visit to Shetland also means every local authority in Scotland has engaged with the campaign. It has travelled more than 17,000 miles and has been made available to the public via a number of drop-ins at venues across Scotland.
It’s been another exciting month for the Wild about Scotland team, visiting schools in East Renfrewshire, East Lothian, Fife, Glasgow, Argyll and Bute, North and South Uist and Benbecula.
Conservation charity, the Royal Zoological Society of Scotland (RZSS), has received one of the top awards from the zoological world, following a prestigious ceremony held at Marwell Zoo in Hampshire last week.
