Players of People’s Postcode Lottery started their support of the RZSS in 2013. We are extremely grateful to have received £500,000 towards our work so far.

Clara Govier, Head of Charities at People’s Postcode Lottery:

“Players of People’s Postcode Lottery have been supporting RZSS since 2013 and have awarded this fantastic charity £500,000 to date. The funding has enabled the charity to maintain both Edinburgh Zoo and the Highland Wildlife Park and specifically helped to create a new meerkat enclosure, entrance plaza and discovery centre. We are delighted that our players are able to support the fantastic work at RZSS and look forward to continuing our relationship with them.”

Clydesdale BankClydesdale Bank has been pleased to support the RZSS "Wild about Scotland" programme since August 2014. The programme  visits primary schools across the communities of Scotland and teaches children about Scotland's endangered species as well as its natural habitat. The dedicated team from RZSS use a double decker bus that has been converted into a classroom to teach lessons to children. In December 2015 the bus visited the 200th school.

Helen Page, Propositions & Marketing Director at Clydesdale Bank said:

“It’s a huge milestone for the ‘Wild about Scotland’ bus to have visited more than 200 schools across the country, and a testament to the hard work of the education team at RZSS. Scottish wildlife conservation is of massive value to Scotland, and being able to engage and educate children at a young age about conservation efforts – regardless of where they live – is extremely beneficial. We’re proud to support RZSS on Wild about Scotland, and look forward to seeing the programme delivered to all local authorities in Scotland by summer 2016.”

Thank you to Royal London, who sponsor our pelican walkthrough at RZSS Edinburgh Zoo. Home to our flock of Eastern White pelicans, the new walkthrough exhibit features glass panelling to allow full, unobstructed views of the magnificent birds.

In supporting the pelican enclosure, Royal London are supporting the conservation work undertaken by RZSS in securing habitat, studying populations and understanding the effects of man’s activity and global warming on wildlife.

Allied Mobility are pleased to support visitors to Edinburgh Zoo through the use of a mobility vehicle.

Our thanks go to Arnold Clark for their support of our Beyond the Panda educational outreach programme.
