Membership
A WILD GIFT IDEA!
Membership of the Royal Zoological Society of Scotland (RZSS) is a fun and educational gift idea for everyone. Not only is it great value for money, it’s also a really enjoyable way to help support the 1,000 animals in our care.
Society members get year round free admission to Edinburgh Zoo and the Highland Wildlife Park, free car parking, discount in our gift shops and cafes and much more… and all that for less than £1 per week!
The deadline for receiving membership applications and guaranteeing packs being received in time for Christmas was Friday 5 December. Although it is now too late to ensure your gift pack will be delivered in time for Christmas, please note that it will be processed and issued as quickly as possible.

Membership is value for money
on average, by the fourth visit membership has paid for itself! Membership allows you to visit as often as you like, to spend time with your family and friends in safe, exciting, education and fun surrounds.
Benefits may be subject to change. Membership is non-transferable and refunds are not issued if cancelled mid-term.

We aim to process packs within ten working days once the application form has been received. If your pack is for a Christmas gift please order by Friday 5 December to guarantee UK delivery.
Membership Terms & Conditions
- A valid membership card entitles the named holder to free admission to Edinburgh Zoo and the Highland Wildlife Park during their published opening hours
- Membership cards are strictly non-transferable under any circumstances, and may be used only by the named holder to whom it was issued
- The membership year cannot be extended or transferred and refunds cannot be given if membership is cancelled mid-term
- Membership benefits may be subject to change
- The membership card is not valid without a photograph in place. It is not valid after the expiry date and cannot be used for educational school visits
- Free admission will not be granted without the production of a valid membership card. If you do not have your card with you when you visit, entry will be charged at the usual admission price and is strictly non-refundable
- An adult must accompany children aged 15 years old or younger
- Please look after your membership card as there is a £5 fee on all cards replaced
- Members are entitled to free car parking for vehicles they are travelling in, when they show a valid membership card. Please note that spaces are not guaranteed and are issued on a first come first served basis
- RZSS reserves the right to refuse admission and / or cancel membership without refund if the holder, or anyone as part of the membership, behaves in a threatening or abusive way to our staff, contractors, visitors or animals
- Both Edinburgh Zoo and the Highland Wildlife Park* are open every day of the year, except in extreme adverse weather condition or other circumstances beyond our control, whereupon we may have to refuse admission. *The Highland Wildlife Park closes on Christmas Day.
