By Public Transport


By Bus

Edinburgh Zoo, located on Corstorphine Road, is highly accessible by public transport with high frequency bus services from Edinburgh city centre.  The Zoo is only 15 minutes by bus from Princes Street. 

Almost every local bus passing the Zoo is low-floor, providing easy access for all users.  Day tickets allow unlimited travel on Lothian Buses' network and cost £2.50 for adults and £2.00 for children aged 5-15 (children under 5 travel for free).  With bus stops located directly outside the Zoo, it makes it easily accessible by the following buses:

All the following Lothian Buses go from Princes Street, Edinburgh city centre:

12 - The Jewel - Princes Street  - The Gyle

26 - Tranent - Princes Street  - Clerwood

31 - Polton - Princes Street - East Craigs

X48 - Ingliston Park and Ride (free parking)

100 - Airlink

909 - Stirling - Edinburgh

904 - East Kilbride - Edinburgh

 

By Train

There are two trains stations in the centre of Edinburgh; Edinburgh Waverley Station and Edinburgh Haymarket Station. Train timetables and ticket information are available from the First ScotRail website.

From Waverley and Haymarket stations, take the buses listed below to Edinburgh Zoo.
