Membership Assistant (Full-time / Fixed Term to 31st December 2019)

RZSS aims to connect people with nature and safeguard threatened species, a mission that sees us work both here in Scotland and in over 20 countries around the world. From inspiring the next generation about wildlife in our parks to protecting chimpanzees in the Ugandan rainforest; looking after some of the world’s most endangered species to saving the Scottish wildcat, RZSS is making a huge difference and we need your help to continue to grow.

The role

Working within the Membership and Adoption team this varied role involves processing and contributing to all RZSS membership and adoption administrative and sales activities, ensuring memberships are processed accurately and on time, whilst providing high levels of customer service to all stakeholders.

Who we are looking for

The post-holder must be a self-starter with the ability to work with colleagues across RZSS. You will be educated to Standard Grade level (as a minimum) with previous administration experience and competence in the use of Microsoft Office packages. You’ll have the attention to detail and ability to process membership applications and data quickly and accurately, being able to demonstrate excellent, accurate typing ability and strong numerical skills.    Knowledge of Direct Debit and Gift Aid processing is desirable as is a Customer Service qualification. 

This is a full-time fixed term role, where the working hours are 37.5 hours per week.   These usually will be Monday to Friday, although may on occasion include weekend work.
