UPDATE: As of Sunday 22 March, we are now closed until further notice. Find out more
Both Edinburgh Zoo and Highland Wildlife Park are currently open and the health, safety and wellbeing of our visitors, staff and animals remain our top priorities.
We are taking all necessary precautions in line with government and public health advice in response to the coronavirus situation and asking everyone to do the same. If you are visiting, please help us by regularly washing your hands at the various facilities and being mindful of social distancing in our large, open spaces.
All indoor animal areas are closed and all keeper talks, including the zoo's Penguin Parade, have been suspended.
Edinburgh Zoo’s opening times have changed to 11am – 4pm (last entry at 3pm) and we are carrying out additional cleaning to maintain the highest possible standards of hygiene. Queues will be managed appropriately and Penguins Café will be open for takeaway services using card payments only.
Highland Wildlife Park’s opening times will remain as 10am – 4pm (last entry at 3pm), additional cleaning measures are in place and Antlers Cafe is open for takeaway service only.
All our public events and experiences are now postponed and we will be in touch with everyone who has pre-booked events, experiences or tickets. Indoor educational sessions will be adapted to continue outdoors where possible.
As a wildlife conservation charity, we will also be continuing with our work to safeguard threatened species in Scotland and around the world. Every visit to our parks makes this vital work possible and we are incredibly grateful for your continued support which will be even more important over the coming months.
