Lesson Outline:

The 50 minute session is an introduction to animal behaviour which is delivered to the group. This session does not have any outside tour or behavioural study included, but can be delivered to large group bookings.

The longer sessions start with an introduction to some species; their evolution, distribution and social structure. Information is also provided on the reasons why we conduct research in the Park and how best to carry out Park-based behavioural studies. The students are taken on a tour of some of the species in the Park. There is also the opportunity for the pupils to observe and record data for their own animal behaviour study (the session without the study is 1 hour 20 minute, with the study it is 2 hours 20 minutes).

The focus of this session can be tailored to suit the level of your students or to highlight specific areas of BGE, or Biology at: National 4, National 5, Higher and Advanced Higher.
