Education outreach
If you can’t come to the us, let us come to you! RZSS can send a qualified member of our discovery and learning team to your location. We offer a range of sessions that can suit your setting, learning level and time available.
Pricing and distance covered
£40 per session, with discounts available for multiple bookings.
For Highland Wildlife Park: this rate covers schools within 45 minutes of travel time (roughly 25 miles) from PH21 1NL. For example, from Grantown on Spey to Dalwhinnie.
For Edinburgh Zoo: this rate covers schools within 30 minutes travel time from EH12 6TS, for example within the Edinburgh Bypass.
For schools out with these boundaries, a rate of 45p per mile applies in addition to the session cost. We do not travel beyond one hour for Edinburgh Zoo or one hour and 15 minutes for Highland Wildlife Park unless part of a larger event. Please contact education@rzss.org.uk with any questions.

Developing the young workforce
We are often approached to discuss the world of work with a variety of learners, and where possible we seek to support such events.
This is often at a school cluster level, such as careers fairs and cross stage learning events where we can talk about the variety of roles at the zoo and pathways into the world of work.
