Visiting our Parks

Members and their accompanied guests no longer have to book in advance for visits to Edinburgh Zoo and Highland Wildlife Park. As usual, RZSS members must accompany guests who can pay for admission on the gate – please sign up for member emails for the latest updates. 

Members Gate at Edinburgh Zoo

Our members gate is normally open from 10am between 1 April – 30 September, and during Edinburgh school holidays and weekends, with the gate closing one hour before the zoo closing time. 

We have signs on the entry to the car park to let everyone know of any changes. Please check by the car park barriers before going up the hill. When the gate is closed, please enter through our main admissions building – RZSS members and their guests do not need to book in advance.

As a wildlife conservation charity, we are working hard to be sustainable and being able to email all of our members would save enough on postage and paper to feed one of our koalas for a whole year.

Tian Tian webcam

As we prepare to say a giant farewell to Yang Guang and Tian Tian in December 2023, we've moved our Tian Tian webcam live feed to our main website to give as many people as possible the opportunity to see the UK's only giant pandas before they go. You can watch Tian Tian here.
