Cipi the sloth bear explores new terrain at Edinburgh Zoo

Edinburgh Zoo’s sloth bear, Cipísek, has been captured exploring his new extension. The Royal Zoological Society of Scotland (RZSS) has made the most of the zoo’s natural geography by incorporating hilly terrain, exposed rock and trees in the extended space.

Affectionately nicknamed ‘Cipi’ by the wildlife conservation charity’s keepers, he has been busy exploring his surroundings by sniffing for insects under rocks, digging through fallen leaves and taking in the view from his lofty vantage point.

Visitors hoping to see Cipi enjoy his new space can save money on zoo tickets when they book online.
