Over 200 girl guides have a grand day out at Highland Wildlife Park

More than 200 leaders, Rainbows and Brownies from Girlguiding Inverness-shire enjoyed a special day out at Highland Wildlife Park on Sunday 14 June, thanks to an event organised by the Royal Zoological Society of Scotland (RZSS).

The idea came from a parent and Girlguiding organiser who attended the park’s toddler groups and saw the positive impact the park’s natural surroundings and amazing animals offer young people. Working together with local Girlguiding groups, RZSS helped bring the idea to life.

Invitations were sent to Inverness-shire Girlguiding groups, with the wildlife conservation charity offering subsidised entry and specially curated tours. As well as exploring the park, groups enjoyed animal talks and bus tours through the drive-through reserve.
