- develop a new programme of learning for those with Additional Support Needs (ASN)
- develop new partnerships to engage with under-represented groups, including BAME communities, and those who are affected by visual or hearing impairments
- pilot a suite of new lessons for pre-school and nursery age children
- integrate new learning technologies to enhance engagement and effectiveness of outreach lessons
- provided free Global Classroom sessions benefitting over 400 secondary level students, comprising a series of talks and interactive workshops throughout a full day at Edinburgh Zoo
- make closer links between education and RZSS conservation projects, from international work in Budongo Forest (Uganda) and the Pantanal (South America) to national conservation work that protects beavers and wildcats in Scotland
and much more.
With continuing support from Baillie Gifford, RZSS aims to become a leading light in conservation education, showcasing best practice through our use of ambitious, innovative and evidence-based delivery methods, assessment techniques and learning technology. |
