Content: 

This engaging tour enables pupils to explore the issues affecting wildlife and habitats through meeting some of our endangered species. The session focusses on the devastating impacts of pollution, habitat loss, poaching, the illegal pet trade and and other threats to global biodiverity. The session also highlights the need for global conservation organisations such as RZSS, as well as every individual in thw world, to help conserve the natural world.

Learning Outcomes:

  • To know and understand the threats animals face in the wild today.
  • To explore the ways in which people can contribute to conserving our world and its wildlife.

  • SOC 0-08a ‘I explore and appreciate the wonder of nature within different environments and have played a part in caring for the environment.’
  • SCN 1-20a ‘I have contributed to discussions of current scientific news items to help develop my awareness of science.’
